Dugald (Dug) Fleming Brown
Dugald Fleming Brown (1943 – 2017) was born in Bellshill, Lanarkshire on 21 October, one of five children. After the death of his father, Dug, as he was known by, joined the RAF aged seventeen and was stationed in Germany, the UK, and Singapore. After he left the RAF, he worked in retail in a variety of stores across the UK. Dugald enjoyed sailing and holidays in Kintyre where he played golf and fished. He also ran several marathons including the London Marathon. He married Tana in 1971 and they had a son Duncan in 1978 and two grandchildren.
