Howard Thomas Palmer
Howard Thomas Palmer (1946 – 2022) was born to Beryl and Tommy Palmer in Cambridge. After leaving Coleridge Boys’ School, Howard took a City and Guilds qualification at the local catering college. He became a trainee chef at Lyons Corner House in London after which he returned to Cambridge to work at The Dorothy as an Assistant Manager where he met his future wife Rose. They had two children Rachel and Jay and three grandchildren. Working at the Water End Barn, St Albans Howard was promoted to Manager. Having moved to Wheathampstead Hertfordshire where they lived for forty-three years, Howard left the catering business to set up Prime Cleaning Services a cleaning company. Howard gained a degree with the Open University after which he become a Humanist Celebrant with the British Humanist Association, (now called Humanists UK).
