Dennis Raishbrook

Dennis Raishbrook was born on 22nd April 1931 in London and had younger brothers Dave and Terry.  When he was eight, the family were evacuated to South Molton, Devon.  The family returned to Balham, London where Dennis attended Bec Grammar School, Tooting.  After leaving school at sixteen to work at an insurance company, Dennis completed his National Service stationed initially at RAF Padgate, Lancashire, then RAF Bawdsey, Suffolk and finally at RAF Sandwich, Kent.  Here he met Pam and they were married in March 1955.  They had three children, Lynne, Neil and Mark. Dennis worked in the City and qualified as an Accountant, moving to Durst in Epsom and later, he worked at Williams and Glyn’s in Croydon.  Dennis loved sport, playing rugby, snooker and bowls and indoor games such as cribbage, bridge and chess. Dennis appeared on the TV programme Countdown.
