Simon Kenneth May

Simon Kenneth May (1948 − 2025) was born to Kenneth and Barbara and spent his early years with elder brother Christopher and younger brother and sister, Bill and Bernie in Kingsbridge, South Devon.

He started school at Stanbrook Primary School before becoming a boarder at Crediton school where he joined the cadet force, and left to train with Littlewoods as a store manager. There he met Brenda and together they had three children − William, James and Anita. He later married Janet and had two daughters, Laura and Catherine.

He continued working in retail – Asda, Kwiksave and Somerfield − before moving into airports – first Newcastle then Luton.

After a very active life on sea and land Simon died a year after being diagnosed with cancer, on 15 January 2025.
