Ashley Paul Ronan Phythian (Ash)

Ashley Paul Ronan Phythian (Ash) (1992-2023) was born on 14 September 1992 in York, to Jane and Mick. Jane, Mick and Ashley as a family became Sharing Carers for disabled children when he was five. He attended Hempland Primary School, where he was identified as Gifted and Talented. This was followed by Huntington School and York College, before he studied Maths & Economics at Manchester Metropolitan University. On graduation he started work in IT at the university, then for On The Beach, an online holiday company where he became Senior Software Engineer. He then moved to Palace (suppliers of iconic streetwear and skateboards) as a Software Engineer.

He was intelligent, had many friends and loved making music and cycling. He was a lifelong vegetarian and fond of animals, especially cats. Sophie became his partner, and they lived together in Manchester.
